Review of Blackboard
All content from the course website is mirrored on Blackboard.
Some Blackboard items of interest include
- The header with
- Calendar of events like due dates
- Announcements
- Grade book
- Course documents: The only document on the site as of the date this screenshot was taken is the syllabus, circled in blue below. You will also be able to find weekly reading and viewing materials here.
- Assignments: This is where you will find homework and information on project milestones (section circled in purple - there were no assignments when this screenshot was taken).
- Academic Tutoring: This section (circled in red) is a new section this year. You automatically have access to 10 sessions each term, and more can be requested if desired. The most helpful resource I am aware of here is the writing tutor. They will review any drafts you submit and provide feedback. The turnaround time will typically be within 24 hours, but toward midterms and finals this may be a little longer.
- Class Collaborate: This link (circled in green) is another new section this year. This is where you can join our virtual classroom during class. Those in the classroom will be asked to join the virtual classroom as well as those online. In-person students: please mute your speakers and microphone when you join the virtual classroom.
